John De Cook, an old resident of Sioux County and especially of Middleburg died last week of cancer which trouble, he has had for a long time, but which grew alarming only three weeks ago. Mr. De Cook was 60 years of age and is survived by his wife and one son, Dick, two brothers Dick and Peter are both residing in Orange City.

The funeral was held from the church at Middleburg, conducted by Rev.Mansen. Mrs. Beernink and Miss ElsieDe Cook of Sioux City attended the funeral.
