Fannie de Boom, 86, of Sioux Center, IA, died Saturday, May 13, 1995, at the Hawarden Community
Hospital. Services were held on Monday morning, May 15, 1995, at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, where she was a member, the Reverend Robert Drenton officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. de Boom was born January 28, 1909, at rural Maurice, IA, the daughter of Sam and Julia (Roghair) Altena. She married Tony de Boom on February 25, 1930, and the couple farmed in Sioux County, near Ireton and Maurice. They retired to Sioux Center in 1968.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Conrad and Adelyn of Ireton, Stanley and Wilma of
Marcus, IA, and Norman and Sherry of Sioux Center; a daughter and her husband Juleen and Henry Hofland of Sanborn, IA; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; ten brothers and sisters; and one grandchild.
