Everett Hulshof, 94, of Ireton, Iowa died peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Hillcrest Heathcare Services in Hawarden, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the First Reformed Church of Ireton with Rev. Doug Van Aartsen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home in Ireton. Condolences may be sent to www.porterfuneralhomes.com.

Everett Hulshof, son of Herman and Hendricka (Vanden Hull), was born January 31, 1922 at Ireton, Iowa. He graduated from Ireton High School in 1940. Everett was united in marriage with Jacoba Falkena on December 27, 1945. They farmed near Ireton, until retiring in Ireton in 1984. Once Everett retired, he volunteered many years at Hope Haven in Ireton making wheelchairs. Everett and Coba spent winters in Arizona for 20 years. Everett moved to Mica Hill in 2014, and to Hillcrest in 2016. Everett was a life long member of the Ireton First Reformed Church.

Everett is survived by his wife of 70 years, Coba Hulshof; children, Ronald (Wanda) Hulshof of Ireton, Carol (Curt) Bronkhorst of Hawarden; grandchildren, Cindy (Dave) Engelsma, Ron (Martha) Hulshof, Brenda Hulshof, Katie (Darin) Den Boer, Julie (Dan) Gueze, Harlan (Tammy) Hulshof, Matt Hulshof, Danette (Shawn) Burrington, Caitlin Bronkhorst, Cristine Bronkhorst and her fiancée Dom Hurtado; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin (Dorothy) Hulshof; brothers-in-law, Abe (Bonnie) Falkena, Evert (Barb) Falkena, Fred (Vel) Falkena, and Andy Falkena; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna; great-granddaughter, Kendra; infant sister; brother, Jacob and his wife MaryAnn Hulshof
