Edna E. Whitlock, 88, of Hawarden, formally of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at a Sioux Falls Hospital.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Gary Harris officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery.

Edna was born September 2, 1927 in Sholes, Nebraska, the daughter of Wilhelm and Anna (Depuis) Bartling. She graduated from O’Neill High School in 1944.

She married Robert W. Whitlock on April 12, 1952 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1989.
Edna loved to crochet, and sew, making lots of clothing for her children and grandchildren. She also liked to play cards and was an avid country western music listener.

Edna is survived by her children: Vicki (Mike) Warner of Sioux City, Holly Hilburn of Sioux City, Russell Whitlock of Hamilton, MS, and Julie (Donald) Cline of Hawarden, Iowa; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister Malinda Barrett of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother LeRoy, and two sisters Leona Jarvis and Elvira Jarvis.
