John Bos Buried Here

Services for John Bos of Monroe, South Dakota, who died at his home January 24, were held in the Van Etten Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2:30. Reverend John Roggen of Maurice was in charge. A previous service had been held in the First Reformed Church at Monroe, on Monday morning.

Mr. Bos, who was 67, had been ill for two months.

He was born at Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 10, 1878. He came to Orange City in 1890, and moved to Monroe in 1910 where he engaged in the general merchandise business.

He was a member of the Town Board and the School Board.

Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara De Lint of Orange City whom he married in 1907, and a son who is stationed at Frankfurt, Germany. He also leaves a brother, Peter of Monroe, and a sister, Jennie Moir of Tuscon, Arizona.

Robinson of Hollywood, California, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Vander Plaats and sons, Junior and Adrian of Edgerton, Minnesota, Mrs. Gerrit Vander Plaats of Doon, Mrs. Peter Blom of Hawarden, Reverend and Mrs. John Roggen, Mr. and Mrs. John Van Roekel, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Haarsma, all of Maurice.
