William Borrink is Killed By An Auto

A dispatch from Cherokee says William Borrink, 14 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. and Martha (Kamstra) Borrink, died in the Sioux Valley hospital shortly after 8 o'clock Tuesday evening, a few minutes after he had been struck by one of two automobiles said to have been racing on the highway one and one half miles east of Cherokee.

The boy was leading a cow in the highway at the time of the accident He was taken to the hospital by Donald Coombs, of Aurelia, said to have been the driver of one of the racing cars.

The other car is said to have been driven by Lew Daniels, also of Aurelia. Both are said to be about 18 years old.

Coombs is a son of County Commissioner Zona Coombs. It was said Wednesday that criminal charges probably will be preferred against the driver of both cars.
