Mrs. Sadie Reitsma, 73 years of age, died Thursday, October 13, 1960 at the Sioux Center hospital, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Reitsma was a daughter of Sijbren de Boer and Maaike Gossen.

She was born at Sneek, The Netherlands on August 15, 1887. On November 14, 1908 she married Mr. Walter de Boer and to this union 5 children were born. Mr. and Mrs. de Boer came to America in 1908. They farm ed near Hull most of their lives. In 1946 they moved into Hull. Mr. De Boer died on February 18, 1956. On April 25, 1958 she married Mr. Abraham Reitsma. He died on May 8, 1959.

Mrs. Reitsma was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Fanny, who died in 1937 at the age of 14 years, and May, who died in 1940 at the age of 26 years. Also two sisters who died in the Netherlands.

Survivors are two sons, George de Boer of Inwood, Iowa and Henry de Boer of Platte, South Dakota, and one daughter, Julia (Mrs. Adrian Boer) of Artesia, California. She also leaves 2 brothers, Siebert de Boer and Cornelius de Boer, both in the Netherlands and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 17, i960 at 1:00 p.m. from the home in Hull and at 1:30 p.m. from the Hull Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Clarence Vander Plate of Sioux Center officiated. Burial was in the Hope Cemetery at Hull, Iowa, under the direction of the Co- Operative Funeral Service of Sioux Center, Iowa.
