Funeral services for Mrs. Hermina Bomgaars of Matlock were held on Tuesday, July 9, at 1:30 p. m. in the Matlock Reformed Church, Reverend Henry Bovendam of Leota, Minnesota, and Reverend John Vander Roest officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Blankers sang "Beyond the Sunset" and Mrs. Alfred Doorenbos sang, "Someday There Will Be No Tomorrow". Pallbearers were John Koerselman, Jr., Glen Vander Zwaag, Chris Van Oort, Frank Kreykes, Nick Bomgaars, and Jake Doorenbos, Interment was in the Matlock Cemetery.

Mrs. Bomgaars passed away Saturday, July 6, at 6:20 a.m. in the Community Memorial Hospital in Sheldon after a lengthy illness. She had reached the age of 72 years, 9 months and 19 days.

Hermina Van Oort was born to John and Anna Gruys Van Oort on September 17, 1895, at Orange City, Iowa.

On January 11, 1917, she was united in marriage to Gerrit N. Bomgaars. After their marriage, they farmed near Hull and Matlock until their retirement when they moved to Matlock where she lived until her death.

Mrs. Bomgaars was active in church and community affairs and was a member of the Matlock Reformed Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William {Anna K.) Marra of Rock Rapids; two sons, John Bomgaars of Milford, and Nick Bomgaars of Bellflower, California; one sister, Mrs, John A. Koerselman of George; three brothers, John Van Oort of Orange City, and Wein Van Oort of Sheldon; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerrit, and a daughter, Marguerite
