Ronald D. Boersma, 46, of Hospers died June 16 in a plane crash in Badger, South Dakota.

Services were on Thursday in the Presbyterian Church in Hospers, the Reverend Henry Eggink and the Reverend Mick Boersma officiating. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery.

Boersma was born June 1, 1940, in Hospers. He attended Hospers Public Schools and served two years in the U.S. Navy. On July 1, 1982, he married Linda Hamann at Hospers. He was self-employed in aerial spraying.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Reka Boersma, of Hospers; two brothers, Richard Boersma of Lyons, Colorado, and the Reverend Michael Boersma of LaMirada, California; and one sister, Linda Eickblatt of Alice, Texas.
