Miss Winifred Bogaard of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away at the Sioux Center Community hospital December 8, at the age of 69 years.
She was born at Orange City, Iowa, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dirk and Jane (Jongewaard) Bogaard.
She leaves to mourn two sisters, Mrs. John Te Selle of Firth, Nebraska, and Mrs. Dick Sterrenburg of Platte, South Dakota; three brothers, A. D. Bogaard of Santa Cruz, California, Albert Bogaard of Firth, Nebraska, and Nick D. Bogaard of Orange City, lowa, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her life's work was that of a registered nurse, working at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City and some twenty years working in the Orthopedic Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Reformed Church. Reverend D. Lendrink will officiate. Burial will be made in the Orange City Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.
