Death: February, 1971Tony Bockelman, age 81, died while on a Florida tour at the Monroe Memorial Hospital at Ocala, Florida.
He was born to Frank and Mary (Schlickelman) Bockelman at Alton, Iowa February 22, 1889. He married Meta Wilken February 18, 1913.
His funeral was February 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Frather Carel officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery with Dow Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
He has been a lifetime member of St. Mary's Church. He farmed and lived in this vicinity all his life. When he retired in 1956, he moved to Hawarden.
Survivors include his widow, two sons, Clarence and Raymond, both of Hawarden, ten grandchildren and one brother, Chris, also of Hawarden.
Casket bearers were Jack McManaman, Charles Gourley, George Hirshman, Jack Weiland, Lloyd C. Johnson, and V.P. Kane.
