Hilda Blankespoor, 100, of Hull, died Friday at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home.

Services were Tuesday at the First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley with Reverend Fred Gunnink officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley.

Mrs. Blankespoor, the former Hilda Driesen, was born August 31, 1886,to Jan and Roelofje (Van Bentheim) Driesen in Vullenhoven, the Netherlands. She lived her youth and attended school in the Netherlands and came to the United States at the age of 22. She married Gysbert Blankespoor on December 15, 1911, in Rock Valley. They farmed in the Rock Valley and Hull areas until retiring and moving into Rock Valley in 1945. Mr. Blankespoor died January 4, 1980. Mrs. Blankespoor entered Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in August of 1980.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley.

Survivors include one son, the Reverend John Blankespoor of Wyoming, Michigan; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Henrietta) Byker of Hudsonville, Michigan; and Mrs. Arend (Rosella) Wassink of Sioux Center; 21 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
