Henry J. Blankespoor, 85, of Hull died Friday, December 30, 1994, at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were Monday, January 2, at the Protestant Reformed Church in Hull, with the Reverend Richard G. Moore officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery in Hull.

He was born October 27, 1909 near Rock Valley, Iowa, the son of John and Jennie (Drok) Blankespoor. He attended school in Rock Valley and Hull, graduating from Hull Christian Grammar School. He married Berdena De Boer, December 21, 1934, near Carmel, Iowa. They farmed and did custom work in the Doon, Iowa and George, Iowa areas until 1977 when they retired. They moved to Hull in 1986.

Mr. Blankespoor was a member of the Hull Protestant Reformed Church, and had been an active member of the Doon Protestant Reformed Church , where he served on the consistory.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, John of Upland, California, James and his wife, Wilma, of Doon, Iowa, Robert and his wife, Geraldine, of George, Iowa; a daughter and her husband, Sally and Alvin Kooiker, of Boyden, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, James and Julia of South Holland, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie, and a sister, Nellie.
