Brock Allan Midthun, age 30 of Sioux Center, IA passed away Thursday May 12, 2016.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday May 17 at New Life Reformed Church of Sioux Center, IA with Reverend Dan Kruse officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center. Visitation will be held on Monday May 16 from 4-8pm with the family present from 5-7pm at the New Life Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Brock was born June 10, 1985 to Bruce and Lorna (Horstman) Midthun in Sioux Center, IA. He was raised and educated in Sioux Center graduating from Sioux Center High School in 2004.

On April 27, 2007 he married Kari Lyn Van Bruggen at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, IA. He was currently employed at B & B Plumbing and Heating in Sioux Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and spending time with his family and friends. Brock was known for his quiet wit and caring heart. He will always be remembered for the great love he showed his children.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Kari of Sioux Center. His children Kambrie and Bruxsen both at home; his parents Bruce and Lorna Midthun of Sioux Center; his grandparents, Gerrit and Ruth Horstman of Sioux Center; his sisters, Tonya (Scott) Griffioen, Holly (Matt) Dibbet all of Sioux Center; his father and mother-in-law, Glen and Anita Van Bruggen of Sioux Center; two sisters-in-law, Lisa (Mike) Kuechenmeister of La Vista, NE, Jana (Jonathan) Lammers of Sioux Center; Numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brock was proceded in death by his grandparents, Loren and Ruth Midthun, Albert and Florence Hooyer, Arie and Ann Van Bruggen. Two uncles Calvin Horstman and Roger Midthun.
