SIOUX CENTER, Iowa | James Louwerse, 87, formerly of Sioux Center died on Jan. 11, 2016, in Merritt Island, Fla.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care in Rockledge, Fla.

James was born on May 12, 1928, in Sioux Center. He retired from the U.S. Navy and became a construction supervisor.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren.
