Faber, Tijpke Sierds 'Charles' 1831-1911

Charles Faber died at his home near Carnes on Thursday Sep 12st 1911 of lung fever at the age of seventy nine years, then months and twenty four day. He was born in the province of Friesland Netherlands, Oct 28th 1831. In 1862 he was united in marriage to Miss Fannie Heslinga and the golden weding would have been next year. This union was blessed with five children, three of whom survive.

In the year 1888 Mr. Faber took his family to America locating first at Cedar Rapids IA where they lived for one year. The then moved to Sioux County where they moved onto a farm and they have been successful. ‘

They funeral services were held on Friday Sep 22nd, Rev. j. P. De. Jong of the Reformed church, of which deceased was a member, conducted the services. Interment was made in the Nasau township cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife, one son Peter Faber of Alton and two daughters Mrs. Gertrude Tromps and Mrs. Lucy Mulder of Carnes.

Married Fokeltje Piers Heslinga 28 years born at Jorwerd Baarderadeel Friesland on 7 May 1862 at Leeuwarderadeel, Friesland. She was the daughter of Pier Pylgers Heslinga and Lutske Krijns Wiersma.
