Funeral services for Mr. Henry Cuperus 50 of Hull, who passed away at 6:30 Sunday morning June 4, 1961, at his home after a brief illness, were held Wednesday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the home and at 1:30 ,p.m. in the Hull First Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Paul Boertje officiated and the burial was in the Hope cemetery under the direction of the Kraal Funeral Home.

Mr. Cuperus was born September 11, 1910 in Midland Park, New Jersey, and came to Hull at an early age with his parents. He attended the Perkins Christian. School and was also a member of the Hull Christian Reformed Church. He married Gertie Pott March 3, 1939 in Hospers, Iowa. Mr. Cuperus worked in partnership with his brother Louis in dirt construction work for the past years. He was active in the church by teaching Sunday School for several years, teaching catechism, (after the departure of Rev. Van Deelen) and leading the Bible discussion in the Senior Ladies Aid. At the time of his death he was serving as elder. He also served on the Christian School Board.

Survivors include the widow, one daughter, Eleanor, his aged mother, Mrs. Emert Cuperus of Hull, and three brothers, Martin of Boyden Nick of Sheldon, Louis of Hull and one sister in law Mrs. Nellie Cuperus of Hull
