DEATH CALLS AGED LADY MRS. W. A. CROSSER SUCCUMBS AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Deceased Lived in Hawarden Almost Thirty Years. A Son and Daughter Mourn Her Death
Mrs. W. A. Crosser died Sunday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hecox, following a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Temple at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. M. Mclntosh, and interment was made in Grace Hill cemetery.

Henrietta Bryan was born in Williamsport, Pa., April 24, 1846, and died May 1, 1921, at the age of 75 years and 6 days. In 1854 she moved with her parents to Wisconsin, where on Nov. 21, 1866, she was united in marriage with W. A. Crosser.

Three children were born to them, one of whom died in infancy, Mrs. Henry Hecox of Hawarden and Harry H. Crosser of Omaha surviving. In 1884 the deceased left Wisconsin with her husband and children and settled in South Dakota, where they lived until 1893 when they, moved to Hawarden. The deceased, with her husband united with the Baptist church at Egan during their stay in South Dakota, and on April 19, 1894, they united by letter with the Baptist church of Hawarden. Both Mr. and Mrs. Crosser remained faithful members of this church up until the time of their death, Mr. Crosser passing away July 14, 1917. Besides her son and daughter the deceased leaves a host of friends to mourn, her death, who loved her for her gentle, kindly nature and her Christian character. The Independent extends deepest sympathy: to the bereaved son and daughter in their great loss.
