Rites Here For J. T. Coughlin Of Rivers, Man.
Funeral services were held at the Allen Funeral Home Monday morning for James Thomas Coughlin, 64 of Rivers, Manitoba, Canada, who was a telegraph operator at Alton 48 years ago. He married Miss Nellie Groen of Orange City.

Mrs. Coughlin arrived In Alton with the remains of her husband Sunday night and was joined by three of her five sons, four of whom live in the U.S.A They are Calvin of Missouri Valley, Walter, Richmond, Calif. Warren of Winnipeg Man.; Merle of Seattle and Jack of San Francisco. One daughter and a son preceded their father in death. There are also several grandchildren.

Mr. Coughlin was telegraph operator for the Canadian National Ry. at Rivers, near Brandon,
Man. Rev. Z. Reislng was in charge of services at the Allen Funeral home, where he recited the rosary and burial service. Interment was in the Orange City cemetery.

Alton cousins attending the service and burial were Mr. and Mrs. John Van Gronigen. During their stay Mrs, Coughlin and sons were guests at the home of the former's sister, Mrs. Gerrlt Wagner, at Orange City. Mrs. Coughlin is now visiting her son at Missouri Valley.
