Kooiman Services Held Tuesday

Funeral services were held 1:45 Tuesday, August 2, for Mrs. Geertje Kooiman, 84, at the First Christian Reformed church with the Rev. C; Huissen in charge. She died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Mulder. Mrs. Kooiman was born in the Netherlands in 1871 and married C. W. Kooiman in 1891. They came to the United States in 1909 and lived in Sioux County most of their lives.

Mr. Kooiman died in 1931. Four children were born to them, all of whom survive. They are (Tena), Mrs. Henry Mulder and Walter C. of Rock Valley, (Effie), Mrs. Henry Rensinbrink, of Grand Rapids, Mich, and William who lives in Canton, S. D. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, 21 grand children and 28 great grand children.
Burial was at the Valley View cemetery in Rock Valley with the Coop Burial of Sioux Center Association in charge.
