Mrs. Loretta Behrens was born January 13, 1932 at Hinton, the daughter of George H. and Sophie (Rippke) Ludwig. She attended school at Hinton and Sioux City. She was employed by Albertson Company of Sioux City for several years.

She married Harley Behrens on April 25, 1954, at Sioux City. They lived three years in Sioux City, then moved to a farm near George. She was active in 4-H, Lyon County Porkettes, M.P.C. Hospital Board and was very active Church member.
