Funeral services held for John Beek

Funeral services for John Beek, 93, who died Saturday at the Sheldon hospital, were held at 1 p.m.. Monday, June 14, at the Vander Ploeg Funeral home, Sheldon. The Reverend Albert Van Dyke officiated.

Mr Beek, a bachelor, was born in The Netherlands January 1, 1872.

As a young boy, he came to the United States with his family and lived most of his life in the Rock Valley area.

He lived at a nursing home in Sheldon for the past 12 years.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.
