Timothy Vlastuin, 2 ½, of Rock Valley, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his home from Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 20, at 10 AM at Grace Community Church of Rock Valley. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley. Visitation, with family present, will be Tuesday, April 19, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.

Timothy Vlastuin, son of Jason Vlastuin and Jennifer (Porter) Vlastuin, was born October 22, 2013 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Timothy loved watching his big brother, Jared, playing. He enjoyed watching Sid the Science Kid and rolling on the floor. He loved music therapy, being played with and read to. Everyone is going to remember his big smile. Timothy was always smiling.

He is survived by his parents, Jason Vlastuin and Jennifer Vlastuin, both of Rock Valley; brother, Jared Vlastuin; grandparents, John and Helen Vlastuin of Rock Valley, Annette Lewis of Beresford, South Dakota, and Hubert and Christine Porter Jr. of North Carolina; great-grandparents, Fred and Ann Vlastuin of Rock Valley, Dick Burgers of Rock Valley, and Willie Davis of North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Timothy was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Clarence “Bud” Lewis and great-grandmother, Gertrude Burgers.
