Walter Olson, 81, Eagle Point, OR, died Monday, December 19, 1994 at his home. Services were held at 2:00 pm December 22 at the Community Bible Church, Central Point, OR with the Rev. Darrel Backus of Brownsboro Community Church officiating. Interment was in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford, OR.

Mr. Olson was born May 19, 1913 in Union County, South Dakota. He attended William's Elementary School in Hawarden, IA, City School graduating from Hawarden High School in 1931. On April 15, 1936 he married Iva Ann Henderson in Hawarden. They farmed in Virginia Township, SD. He started tuning pianos in 1948, and the family moved to Medford in 1955. Mr. Olson was a piano technician in Southern Oregon and Northern California from 1955 to 1992 when he retired. He was a member of the Piano Technicians Guild and attended Brownsboro Community Church in Oregon.

Survivors included his wife, a daughter, Mary Ann Olson of Central Point, OR; six sons, Ronald Olson of Central Point, OR; Rodney Olson of Fort Collins, CO, Larry Olson of Eagle Point, OR, Marvin Olson and Dennis Olson of Medford, OR, Garry Olson of Hudson, FL, and a sister, Caroline Smith of Jacksonville, OR, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
