Mrs. Edward Veld, nee Greta Van Wyk, was born August 4, 1909, on a farm five miles north of Orange City and passed away after a long illness, on Tuesday March 2 at the home of her parents in Orange City.

Mrs. Veld received her education in the rural schools and in Northwestern Classical Academy of Orange City.

She was united in marriage to Edward Veld December 6, 1932 and the couple had since resided in South Holland, Illinois, and Sanborn.

She made confession of faith in her youth at the Reformed church in Middleburg and was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City at the time of her death.

Surviving are her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arie M. and Jennie (Vander Wilt) Van Wyk of Orange City, 3 sisters, Sophia (Mrs Marion De Graaf) of Orange City, Irene (Mrs. Rodney Vellinga) oŁ Hull, Leola (Mrs. Eugene Te Grotenhuis) of Orange City and 3 brothers, Mitchell of Sibley, John of Sanborn and Gilbert of Orange City, her mother-in-law, Mrs. Henry Veld of Orange City and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Willis Rowenhorst of Orange City.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Sanborn and at 2 p.m. in the First Reformed Church of Orange City. Reverend J. Straks, Reverend N. Colenbrander and Reverend L. Nattress officiating.
