Sue Ann Huenink, 45, of Hawarden died Thursday, November 10, 1994, at her residence near Hawarden after a long illness. Memorial services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Associated Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Randy Knuth officiating. Burial of the cremains were private. Visitation with the family present was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Huenink was born March 30, 1949, in Sioux City, the daughter of Bernard and Hazel Mae (Younie) Goodmanson. She graduated from West Sioux High School in 1968. She married Jim Huenink September 12, 1969, in Hawarden. They lived in Hawarden where she drove school bus for West Sioux and the River Valley School in Rock Valley, Iowa, for 20 years. She also made and sold wall hanging quilts. Mrs. Huenink was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Ireton Iowa, and the Associated Church for many years, where she sang in the choir. She was a past member of the Hawarden Jaycees.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sue Lynn and her husband Mark Richters of Hawarden, and Angela Huenink at home; a brother Richard Miller of Sioux City; sisters. Donna Johnson and Connie Flieder, both of Sioux City, Wesley Miller of Des Moines, Iowa, and Sharon Delperdang of Omaha, NE; and two grandchildren, James and Lindsay. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother; and two sisters, Mary Ann Busch and Brenda Singer. A Memorial has been established in her name with the Associated Church.
