Dale A. Moehlmann, 11, of Monticello, died at the scene of a pedestrian-car accident east of Monticello on Monday, December 1, 2003.

Dale was born on June 12, 1992, in Monticello to Scott and Connie (Haney) Moehlmann. He was in sixth grade at Monticello Middle School. He loved to hunt and fish, and had recently joined the wrestling team at school. He greatly enjoyed working with younger children and helping out his family as they provide foster care for children.

Funeral service was Friday, December 5 at Christ Lutheran Church of Otsego, with the Reverend Greg Pagh officiating. Interment was private.

Dale is survived by his parents, Scott and Connie; sister, Katie, 13; brothers, Scotty, 12 and Bryce, 3; grandparents, Gary Sr. and Linda Moehlmann, Dale Haney, and Carole and Bill Peltier; and great-grandmother, Violet Hendricks of Hawarden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Moehlmann.
