Clara M. Satthoff, 89, of Chatsworth died Monday, October 10, 1994, at the Akron Care Center after a
long illness. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron with Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Mrs. Satthoff was born November 23, 1904, in Preston Township, near Akron, the daughter of John D. "Dick" and Mary (Nannen) Frerichs. She married Henry Satthoff December 9, 1925, at Akron. They farmed near Akron until 1941 when they moved to Chatsworth. He died October 2, 1959. She moved to the Akron Care Center in September 1987. Mrs. Satthoff was an active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Chatsworth and the Ladies Aid where she enjoyed quilting. She taught Sunday School for several years.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Frances and Wayne Hart of Fort Wayne, IN, and Lorraine and Stanley Martinelli of Newington, CN; a brother, Herbert and his wife, Margaret Frerichs of Akron; a sister, Edna and her husband, Russell Marshall of Ireton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Louis, Ben, Albert and
Edwin.
