Charles Henningfeld Funeral Tuesday Passed Away Fri.

Last rites for Charles J. Henningfeld, lifelong Sioux county resident, who passed away Friday, Sept 25 at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, were held at
St. Mary's, Church Tuesday forenoon with Father McGoey in charge. Interment was made in St. Mary's Cemetery, with Vander Ploeg's Funeral service in charge.
Mr. Henningfeld sustained injuries in an accident June 19 when he fell off a truckload of hay, and was taken to Canton hospital and was later transferred to the Sioux Valley Hospital, but he failed to recover totally from his injuries.
Mr. Henningfeld was born on a Sioux county farm, west of Rock Valley, Nov. 8, 1881, and lived here for approximately 80 years, when he moved to Rock Valley and lived here the rest of his life. He farmed until 1945, when he quit this and began to do general labor.
Deceased, who never married, is survived by one sister and two brothers: Mrs. Louise Burgers, Julius and Lawrence Henningfeld, all of Rock Valley.
