From the Rock Valley Bee, April 30, 1915:

The ten-week-old baby of Mr. and Mrs. John Harmelink died Friday [April 23?] after a brief illness. Funeral services were held from the home in the west part of town conducted by Rev. B. DeJong of the Christian Reformed church, and the remains were buried in Valley View cemetery. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of many friends.

The following Rock Valley news note in the Alton Democrat, May 1, 1915, probably refers to the same child, despite the discrepancy in age:

The seven months old babe of Mr. and Mrs. John Harmelink died Friday April 23 of lung fever. On Saturday afternoon the funeral services occurred at the house, conducted by Rev. B. De Jong pastor of the Reformed church, after which the remains were interred in Valley View cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of their many friends in the loss they have sustained.
