EDNA HORTON
Edna M. Horton, 85, of Hawarden died Wednesday at the Hawarden Community Hospital in Hawarden. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with Msgr. Michael Sernett officiating. Burial took place in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday at the Porter- Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. A prayer service was at 7 p.m. Friday at the St. Mary's Catholic Parish Hall.

Mrs. Horton was born June 25, 1909 at Cleghorn, IA, the daughter of Will and Alida (Noltze) Esser. She graduated from the Hawarden High School in 1927. Edna married Charles Horton on August 30,1931 at Hawarden. They live in Iowa City, IA for 1 year and spent 3 years in California before making their home in Hawarden. She was a member of the Saint Mary's Catholic Church and the Saint Mary's Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; nephews; 1 niece; and many
cousins.
