Wanda W. Kennedy, 67, of Hawarden, died Sunday, October 17, at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 21, at the Associated Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Willard Galloway officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden. Visitation will be all day Wednesday, October 20, with the family present from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Kennedy, the former Wanda Wilkison, was born February 19, 1926, at Hawarden the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Olson) Wilkison. She graduated from the Hawarden High School in 1944. She married William Kennedy on March 30, 1947, at Hawarden. They lived in many states while her husband was employed in golf course construction. They returned to Hawarden in 1974. She was a member of the Associated Church at Hawarden.

Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Kennedy of Hawarden; 2 sons, Lee and his wife Mary of Hawarden; and Barry of Owatonna, MN; a daughter, Karol and her husband Gene Freshour of Redfield, SD; 3brothers, Lawrence and his wife Doris of Lafayette, IN; Dyson and his wife Lillian of Edmunds, WA; and Neil of Fort Worth, TX; 2 sisters, Mrs. Harold (Veronica) Heldt of Hawarden and Radah Wegner of Hudson, SD; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister
