Edward A. Moss, 77, of Sioux Center, died Wednesday, October 6, 1993, at the Sioux Center Hospital. Services were held at the Carmel Reformed Church in Carmel, IA, with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moss was born October 22, 1915, on his family's farm near Carmel, son of Albert and Agnes(Kuyper) Moss. He attended rural school and Northwest Academy in Orange City. He married Frances De Vries in Yuma, AZ, August 25, 1942. For their first few years together, he worked with aircraft at Long Beach, CA. Later, they farmed in Sioux Center. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He was a member, elder and Sunday school teacher at the Carmel Reformed Church. He was a member of Gideons International and enjoyed reading and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife; four sons and their wives, Glen and Kathy of Dana Point, CA; Kenneth and Jana of Sioux City; Dr. Larry and Christine of Bellingham, WA; and Calvin and Cathy of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs.Duane (Jackie) Williams of Joplin MO; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Simon (Tracy) DeJong, and Mrs. Gert DeJager. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Neal, Marion and John
