Emory Peterson died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 12, shortly after his arrival in California. Emory's body was cremated and burial is pending. He was born March 3, 1913, in Sweden and came to America in 1931. He was a writer and the author of many published stories and articles. Emory spent his last few years in the Hawarden area, living with good friends he had met in his travels. He was vitally interested in the events and needs of his community and deeply concerned with the welfare of other people. Emory was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his caring friends.
