Died: March 10, 1996Lucille Diekevers, 76, of Boyden died Sunday, March 10, at the Oak Park Care Center in Sheldon.
Services are at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 13, at the United Presbyterian Church of Boyden with the Reverend John Goertz officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Township Cemetery near Boyden.
Mrs. Diekevers was born July 31, 1919, in Boyden, the daughter of William and Tena (Seefus) Kwikkel. She was raised in Boyden where she graduated from high school. She married George Diekevers at Dakota City on December 8, 1941. The couple made their home in Boyden. In earlier years, she was employed at the post office and she also served as a substitute rural mail carrier.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church where she had served as Sunday school teacher. She also served as a girl scout leader and an avid antique collector.
Survivors include her husband; a sister and her husband, June and Elmer Den Hartog of Sheldon; a sister-in-law, Florence Kwikkel of Sioux City; and nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Kwikkel.
