Jeffery Thomas Kallsen, 62, of La Grange, Texas died Tuesday, January 13, 2015. There will be a graveside memorial service Saturday, June 20. Inurnment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Visitation with the family present will be immediately after graveside services. All family and friends are welcome.

Jeffery Thomas Kallsen was born November 30, 1952 in Hawarden, the son of Arthur and Irene (Stowe) Kallsen. Jeff was a 1971 graduate of the West Sioux High School and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1974. He went on to graduate from Bemidji State University with a degree in geology in 1979 with honors. Jeff spent the remainder of his life working in the oilfields of Texas.

He is survived by two sons, Travis (Tabetha) Kallsen of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Noah (Lisa) Kallsen of Sioux Falls; a daughter, Joette Kallsen of Sioux City; five siblings, Sharon (Terry) Mayne of Surprise, Arizona, Steven (Ann) Kallsen of Bloomington, Minnesota, Michael (Terri) Kallsen of Hawarden, David Kallsen of Eagan, Minnesota and Kevin (Jody) Kallsen of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Irene Kallsen, and a brother, Dennis Kallsen.
