Olive James, age 80 of Hawarden, died Friday, May 7, 1993. at her residence. Services were held Monday, May 10. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hawarden, Rev. Edmond Adams officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Mrs. James was born August 12, 1912, at Salix, daughter of Russell and Eva (Pepin) Linkswiler. She graduated from Mt. St. Mary's Academy in Cherokee and married Chester Schoeneman in Cherokee August 19, 1934. They lived there and in Mason City and Hawarden. Mr. Schoeneman died August 19, 1976. She married Glen James March 15, 1980. at Akron. They lived in Hawarden. he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Guild and the St. Theresa Circle.
Survivors include her husband Glen; two sons and their wives, Dr. Robert B. and Gilda Schoeneman of Phoenix and Dr. Russell C. and Diane Schoeneman of Tempe, AZ; two stepsons and a stepdaughter; a sister and her husband, Evelyn C. and El wood Bolster of Hawarden; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Barba.
