Rietman, baby daughter of E., 1915-1915

From the Rock County Bee, January 29, 1915:

The three week old baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. E. Rietman died Monday night. Short funeral services were held at the home Wednesday by Rev. Dejonge. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of their friends and neighbors.

There were no other news notes or Sioux County Cemetery Index entries that would identify this child or family. However, the 1920 U.S. Census has Evart Rietman (age 46, a painter), wife Caroline (39), and sons Evart J. (12), Johan (8), and John (7) living in Rock Valley. having immigrated from Holland in 1913. There are also cards for him (as Evert John), Caroline, and the three boys in the 1915 Iowa State Census, living in Rock Valley where he is a day laborer. The dead child was probably their daughter.
