Funeral Services For C. Bellesfield Here on Tuesday

Funeral services for Clarence (Brig)Bellesfield were held here on Tuesday, March. 6, at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 pm. at the Methodist church, Rev. M. L. Jones officiated and burial was made in the Valley View cemetery. Mrs. Ed De Haas, accompanied by Mrs. M. L Jones, furnished special music. He was son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bellesfield, was born on the Bellesfield homestead southwest of Rock Valley on May 5, 1878, and died Friday morning, March 2, at his home at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 27 days. He moved to Rock Valley, with his parents, at the age of two years. He followed the mechanics trade for many years and spent five years in Canada at the trade at the beginning of the automobile age. He did the same work here. He settled in Rock Valley in 1918, he was associated with the Central Auto company for many years. Mr. Bellesfield is survived by four sisters: Mrs. Amy Moore of Rock Valley, Mrs. Ernie Hamilton of Pipestone, Minn., Mrs. Millie Ferman of Grand Rapids, Mich. Mrs. Cynthia Smith of Yoncalla, Oregon; one brother, Wilmer D. Bellesfield of Sanborn, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Paul Frembgen, Neal Bogaard, Earl Hayden, Elmer Schouten, Emory Suter and Jake Vande Weerd.
