Funeral Services For Mrs. Ver Burg To Be Held Today

Funeral service for Mrs. Peter Ver Burg, 65, will be held today (Thursday) at one o'clock at the home and at 1:30 at the Christian Reformed church. Rev. S. Cammenga will have charge of the service at the home and Rev. H. C. Van Deelen will officiate at the church service Burial will be made in the Valley View cemetery. Mrs. Ver Burg submitted to major surgery at the Rochester, Minn., hospital on Monday, January 29, and died on Sunday,February 4. Mrs. Ver Burg was born Dena Schaap on August 15, 1885, in South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Peter Ver Burg on February 22, 1905 ? at which time they moved to this vicinity. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Bert of Valley Springs, S D, John of Alvord and Ed of Rock Valley; three daughters, Cora (Mrs. Jake Canniegieter), Anna (Mrs. Frank Druyvesteyn), both of Rock Valley, and Elizabeth (Mrs. Peter Koel) of Alvord; 39 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers, Dick and Peter Schaap, both, of Orange City, and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Van Otterloo of Alton, Mrs. Johanna Lammers of Orange City, Mrs John Te Velde of Brewton, Minn., and Mrs. Ellen Brink of Hayward, Calif. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Pallbearers were Win.?? Wynia, Rich Vande Vegte, Gerrit Van Surksum, Ed Karssen, Weber Burgers and Gys Blankespoor
