Dorothy Oloff, 87, of Bettendorf, died Monday, August 18, 2014, at Trinity Bettendorf. Services in celebration of her life will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 21, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1140 E. High Street, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, of which she was a longtime member, or Café on Vine.

Mrs. Oloff was born in 1926 in Lawton, Iowa, to Walter and Helen Horton. On May 15, 1947, she married E.F. “Ole” Oloff in Akron, Iowa. He died June 10, 2014. Dorothy was active at both Morning Side Lutheran Church, Sioux City, Iowa, and Bethany Lutheran Church, Spencer, Iowa. She was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter IR, Davenport. She was a Silver Life Master in duplicate bridge and enjoyed traveling. Dorothy cherished the time she spent with her family, entertaining her family and friends with her talents of cooking and baking.

Survivors include daughters, Diana (Larry) Sanderson and Kathy (Larry) Schutman, all of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Troy) Yegge of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Benjamin Schutman of Bettendorf and Alex Schutman of Prior Lake, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Max Yegge and Grace Yegge of Fort Mill; brother, Cecil (Corriene) Horton of Akron, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers.
