Junior William Newman, son of Clara and the late Howard Newman, of Hawarden died Monday, April 11, 1988, from complications following surgery. Mr. Newman was born May 25, 1929, in Union County, SD. He was 58 years old.

Mr. Newman was survived by his wife, Crystal (Schwiesow), four daughters, Patty, Connie, Pamela, Dawn; one son, Rick; and eight grandchildren, all of California. Other survivors include: his mother, Clara; four sisters, Winnifred, of Long Beach, CA, Lois, of Dearborn Heights, MI, Inez, of Tonitown, AK; and three brothers, Claudus, of Reseda, CA, Lawrence, of Brazil, IN and Quinton, Thayne, WY. He also is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him for his cocky little smile and his winning ways. He worked for the Universal Studios for over 20 years.
