Evert Horstman, 82, of Sioux Center died Monday, April 11, 1988 in a Sioux City hospital. Services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 1988 in first Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. J.Wallace Postman officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Horstman was born October 1, 1905, in Deventer, The Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1906 and lived his youth and attended school in the Sioux Center area. He married Margaret Cleveringa January 13, 1932. The couple made their home in the Sioux Center area. Mr. Horstman was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center.

Survivors include three sons, James E. and Kenneth, both of Sioux Center and Norman of Hawarden; two brothers, Joe of Sioux Center and Gerrit E. of Hull; two sisters, Johanna Plantage of Ontario.CA, and Gertrude Jensen of McCook, NE; 13 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
