Vera Cecelia Rich; 54, of Hawarden died suddenly Thursday; March 31 enroute to the Onawa hospital. Services were held Monday, April 4, at the First Baptist Church in Akron with the Rev. Burl Ratzsch officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. The Dow Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Casket bearers were Dennis Martin, Randy Rich, Rodney Eden, Lindy Rich, Bryan Eden and Randy DeWall.

Mrs. Rich was born January 31, 1934 at Alcester to Hairy and Marie Eden. She was baptized and confirmed in Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester and attended school in Union County, SD. She married Harold Rich November 30, 1950 at Alcester.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Bione Patton, of Sioux City a foster son, Fred Buck, of Kenrtewick, WA; two brothers, Loren Eden, of Alcester and Roger Eden, of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Leora Hamilton, of Sioux Falls and Mary Ann Warner, of Jefferson, SD; and six grandchildren
