Mavis Harris, 63, of Van Nuys, CA, passed away Feb. 10, 1988, in a hospital in Van Nuys after a lingering illness. Services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Pierce Brothers Little Country Chapel, in Van Nuys, with Rev. John Sauer, of First Lutheran Church of Van Nuys officiating. Burial was in the Valhalla Memorial Park.

Mavis Harris was born in the Ireton area and spent her childhood there, moving to California with her parents. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Wanda) Janssen, of Mission Hills, CA; Mrs. Harold (Darlene) Boeche, of Bloomington, CA; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ann Harris and a brother, Eugene. Casket bearers were James and Rodney Janssen, Steve and Jon Boeche, Lee Doyle and Hubert Thompson
