Mrs. Pamela Meyers, age 66, of Alton, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the Orange City Area Health System in Orange City.

There will be a prayer service on Saturday, October 10, at 10:30am, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. The Rev. Fr. Terry Roder will officiate. Interment will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton.

The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is assisting the family.

Pamela Sue was born on December 4, 1948, in Le Mars, the daughter of Arnold Mathew and Patricia Louise (Mann) Streff. She was raised in Alton, where she graduated from the Spalding Catholic School. She then earned her teaching degree at the University of Iowa.

On July 20, 1974, she married William Christopher “Bill” Meyers III in Davenport. They made their home in Davenport, Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, and finally Alton.

Mrs. Meyers was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and bridge, and belonged to several bridge clubs.

Survivors include her husband of over 41 years; a daughter, Sara, and her husband, Jeff Schutz; a son, Christopher Meyers; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Ryan Schutz; her father, “Arnie” Streff; a sister and her husband, Barbara and Paul Grachek; and a brother and his wife, Steven and Debra Streff.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a brother, Scott Streff.
