Joyce Marie was the daughter of Koert and Coba (DeVries) Evink. She was raised at Bejou and Morris, MN. She then was a teacher at the Orange City Christian School for one year.

On June 17, 1958 she married Clarence Edward Postma at Hancock, MN. They lived in Rock Valley for one year and then moved to Orange City, where they have made their home since.

In earlier years Joyce was a nurses aide at the Orange City Municipal Hospital and a cashier at Southtown Foodland. For the past fifteen years, she has been employed at K-Products in Orange City.

She was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church where she taught Sunday School classes. She and her husband were also involved in a couples fellowship.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Randy and his wife Barb, of Orange City; Myron and his wife, Shari of Rehoboth, NM.; Lynn and her husband Todd Holstege of Grand Rapids, MI; and Arden of Salt Lake City, UT.; Seven grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Vander Plaats of Mahnomen, MN; Rena Teunessen of Grand Rapids, MI; Carol Brink of Sheldon; and six brothers, Kenneth Evink of Morris, MN; Conrad Evink of Hancock, MN; Bernard Evink of Jenison, MI; Harold Evink of Park Rapids, MN; Lowell Evink of Hancock; and Wallace Evink of Willmar, MN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Twyla; and two sisters, Wilma Troy and Corrine Evink.
