Died: September 11, 1918Edward W. Brown, for many years a resident of Sioux township, this county, died at his home in Hudson on Tuesday of last week after an illness of nearly a year. He was nearly 73 years of age. He was born in Germany but came to America when only 7 years of age. He resided in New York, Illinois and eastern Iowa, and then came to this county where he resided on a farm for 29 years, moving to Hudson three years ago when his health began to fail.
Besides his sorrowing wife, Emma Louisa (Rutter) Brown, he leaves two sons and two daughters to mourn his death. The children are Silas of Breckenridge, Minnesota, Edward, who lives on the old home farm, Mrs. H.I. Moffett of Hudson and Mrs. Andrew Larson of Beresford. The funeral was held at Hudson Friday.
