H. De Haan, and old settler passed away Thursday morning at the age of eighty four years and four months. He leaves three sons and two daughters Frank, Bert, Gerrit and the Misses Mary and Jennie. He came to Sioux County in 1874 and resided on a farm east of Itow until Twenty years ago when he moved to Orange city. The funeral will be held from the First Reformed church of which he was a worthy member and held the position of elder for a great many yeats.
