Sioux County Capital August 16, 1984

Johanna Vreeman, 77, of Sioux Center died Wednesday at the Sioux Center Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Friday at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. B.J. Haan and the Rev. Jerry Vreeman officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens in Sioux Center under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vreeman, the former Johanna Hulstein, was born Nov. 25, 1906, at Sioux Center. She married
Hein Vreeman Nov. 28, 1923, at Sioux Center, .Mr. Vreeman died April 24, 19.80. Mrs. Vreeman operated the House of Fashion clothing store in Sioux Center and for years worked in a lunchroom at the Sheldon Sale Barn.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Joan) Mouw of Sioux Center; five sisters, Mrs. Lane (Cora) Bunt of Sioux Center, Mrs. Arie G. (Winnie) Punt of Rock Valley, Mrs. Jake (Grace) Grandstra of Ocheyedan, Mrs. Clarence (Reka) Borst of Barlow Lake, Mich., and Mrs. Steve (Henrietta) Kiel of Sheldon.
